I have been taking yoga classes with Rochelle for over 4 years and have gained so much through my practice with her. Rochelle combines postures, breathing and meditation into a mindful and fulfilling workout. She assists you through the poses to maximize your safety while simultaneously challenging you and encouraging personal exploration. She creates a time to be in tune with your body that is both energizing and calming. Rochelle’s guidance is clear and purposeful and allows you to turn inward, reconnect with your body and mind, and find balance both mentally and physically. I always leave class feeling restored, strong, energized and at peace. Perhaps one of the greatest benefits is that I have learned to carry the calm and focus I gain in my practice with Rochelle throughout my daily life. Rochelle is truly a gifted and knowledgeable teacher and my yoga practice with her has become an important part of my life.
"You are a very talented yoga instructor and you motivated me to get in touch with my body, my strength and started me down the path to better health. Thank you for all that. I think one of the greatest gifts in life is ones health and by taking your class, you helped me tap into the many levels of wellness. I have 3 little kids and don't often find that kind of peace and quiet. After 10 years of childrearing I really found myself again at your studio. Taking your class was the first thing I had done for my physical well-being since I started being a Mom."

I LOVED the class!!! I found the material and the manner in which you presented it most helpful and insightful. I got further into postures than I ever had before! Being trained in the Classical Yoga philosophy, arm balance and inversions (other than shoulderstand) are not taught. It definitely (arm balance) has been a challenge for me but I do feel better after taking your class.
Some of my responsibilities as a Community Living Coordinator at Living Innovations are to facilitate recreational, social, therapeutic, person centered, and community based programming for people with significant developmental disabilities in the Seacoast area of Maine & New Hampshire. We support 100+ individuals in our Portsmouth office.
I was first introduced to Rochelle by a colleague in November of 2010. We discussed potentially adding yoga to our programming. We weren’t sure how this would work for our population. Rochelle began working with an extremely diverse group with a wide range of challenges, including people with significant mental and physical challenges, people who are non-verbal, people in wheelchairs, and some who were frequently physically aggressive toward peers and staff. Rochelle quickly proved her ability to effectively blend all of these people into a functioning group. We have seen measurable, tangible physical and spiritual results with all types of people. Some examples are increased ability to relax, improved agility, coordination and strength, improved ability to communicate and follow directions/rules in a group setting. I am continuously impressed by Rochelle’s calm, gentle, positive and reassuring approach to all individuals she teaches. The group has steadily grown in size and popularity. The feedback from people who participate, parents, and other professionals is consistently positive.
I am certain that anyone with similar challenges would benefit from the positive learning environment that Rochelle provides. I highly recommend her professional abilities and skills. Personally, I find her to be caring, genuine and patient, with a consistently positive attitude. I am happy to further discuss her remarkable abilities upon request.
